There are times when we might feel like having some articles from old times around our convenience, and as a result, we go for an interior décor that best defines our taste. Nonetheless, it is not just about having these mixing the vintage accessories with modern ones but doing it in manner that ensures complementarity.
There must be a balance so that you are not left to dwell in an awkward looking setting. You do not have to leave a particular corner in a vintage state while another corner portrays a modern look. Rather at every point, you should aim to have a combination of both (the modern and the vintage)- from instance, while a vintage table is placed somewhere the corner, a modern flower vase could positioned on it in order to effect a balance. Again, it might not really be about the physical state of the accessories but their theme and/or colour- whatever the case may be, you must not lose consciousness of the need to maintain a balance.
On the whole, having a touch of the old is something that is welcoming in this contemporary times as it could somewhat help to preserve some memories. The only thing that need not escape the mind is that that one has decided to use some vintage articles in decorating the home, does not [and should not] equate to living in the past.
